Want To Help But Don't Know How. Here Are Some Ways!

1. Pick up your dogs poop. Manure (poop) has some nitrogen in it and when it rains the water carries your pet      waste into waterways. Excess nitrogen depletes the oxygen in water necessary for beneficial                        underwater grasses, wildlife and fish.

2. Minimize the use of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers

3. Conserve water by turning off the tap when running water is not necessary. This helps prevent water              shortages and reduces the amount of contaminated water that needs treatment.

4. Be careful about what you throw down your sink or toilet. Don’t throw paints, oils or other forms of litter        down the drain.

5. By having more plants in your garden you are preventing fertiliser, pesticides and contaminated water from    running off into nearby water sources.
